NOBBIS 2023
TERROIR
LOCATION
NOBBIS originates from a selection of vineyards located in Fuentecén, at the heart of the Burgos region of Ribera del Duero. This area represents the core and origin of the region, home to some of the most unique and distinctive vineyards
VARIETY
100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo).
ALTITUD
The vineyards are located at approximately 830 meters above sea level and about 30 meters above the Duero River, helping to avoid winter cold and excess humidity
VINEYARD
The vineyards are over 25 years old and are predominantly planted in a traditional bush vine system (en vaso). All the vineyards come from a massal selection that has been carefully cultivated over the years. This means that the planting material does not come from a nursery but from older vineyards, preserving the heritage and unique characteristics of the region
SOIL
Hay un gran nivel de heterogeneidad pero proncipalmente hay alcillas con altos niveles de carbonato cálcico y cantosd rodados en la superficie.
CLIMATIC YEAR
In 2023, temperatures were above average, and rainfall was irregular. From January to August, minimum and maximum temperatures were between 1 and 5°C higher than usual, with peaks in April and June. September and October maintained minimums 2 to 3°C above normal. Rainfall was uneven: November and December 2022 exceeded the average, but April and May 2023 were below, with less than 30 mm. The harvest was brought forward due to the rapid ripening of the grapes, resulting in a high-quality crop despite frost and hail.
